Grow in The Catholic Faith in 52 Weeks
“There are not one hundred people in the United States who hate The Catholic Church, but there are millions who hate what they wrongly perceive the Catholic Church to be.”
― Fulton J. Sheen
The war of our time is “The War Against Truth”. For the next year, I will be bringing to you a weekly apologetics topic to help you grow in your faith and give a solid defense for The Truth, by bringing the clarity of Truth, to the Catholic and the non-Catholic. It is my hope that once you are enlightened by the Truth and encouraged that you will return to your home and workplace better prepared to wage war on all the evils of our day. How? By living more fully your Christian faith, fulfilling your proper role in our society and in the family, and thereby change our world.
Learn how to defend the truths of our faith. Answer questions from family and friends using scripture and in the process grow in your own faith. (That is what happened to me.)
My plan is to follow the following format.
- Start with an opening prayer,
- give scriptural proof for the teaching,
- give early Church examples if available,
- then follow with a reflection and closing prayer.
This could be something that you include in your weekly devotion and prayer time.
Here is the proposed schedule of topics.
